Rio has great tradition on rock climbing, people has been climbing local mountains since the beginning of the 19th century. You can find a wide variety of climbing routes spread all over the city. This activity offers unique views of Rio's dramatic landscape. There are options available for experienced climbers on the most classic routes in the city, such as the "Italians" Route at Sugar Loaf and "K2" at Corcovado. For beginners a perfect option of learning the basics skills is the half-day climbing lesson.

Drive to Sugar Loaf

Choose a climbing route according to the climbers' level
Hike to the beginning of the route
Half-day climb /sportive, or boulder
Full-day climb multi pitches
Return to hotel

Difficulty level: No experience requested for beguines, Advanced climbers - 5.7 to 5.12 (USA) or 5a to 7b (FRA)
Minimum group size: 2
Departure: Daily
Included: Transportation, full climbing equipment, guide and personal insurance.

Not included: meals and drinks.

Wear light clothes, insects repellent, sun block, backpack, extra money for snack and drinks. Bring your own climbing shoes for extra comfort.
