Destinations   Tibau do Sul

A 8,000 inhabitants village, 87 km South of Natal. Known to visitors as a bit of heaven on earth. Very close (8 km) to Praia da Pipa (beach) it is quiet and a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful of its beaches.

Surrounded by high pink and white cliffs, the white sand beaches are protected and the view from the top of the cliffs in fantastic. Beaches are fantastic for being protected by a barrier reef. Waters are calm and balmy. Temperature in Tibau do Sul is 27C year round. There are patches of untouched Atlatnic Forest that lie at the border of the cliffs making it a pleasant place to be and enjoy a lovely sunset. A place to explore on foot or beach buggies. Tibau do Sul is a APA - Preservation Area for its biodiversity.

How to get there:
By Plane: to get to Tibau do Sul, take a plane heading to Natal, and from there, travel by car or bus. International Airport Augusto Severo is 80 km from the city.

By Road: following BR 101 highway, enter Goianinha and follow the signs until Pipa Beach. Another interesting road, coming from the State of Paraíba, is to enter Canguaretama, already in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, cross Barra do Cunhaú, and cross by ferry over to Sibaúma. Travel on until Pipa, above the crags, admiring the marvellous view of the ocean.
